DNA Superstructure UV Cream – SPF 15

What is DNA Superstructure UV Cream – SPF 15?

While reviewing other Olay products we saw recommendations to use them in conjunction with DNA Superstructure UV Cream – SPF 15 and their other sun-block moisturizer mash-ups. Since we had reviewed the others, we thought we’d take a look at this one too. Olay claims that this product will give your skin a firmer, more youthful appearance all while blocking the sun’s “DNA-Damaging” rays, hydrating the skin, and providing antioxidant protection.

How is DNA Superstructure UV Cream – SPF 15 Supposed to Work?

There is really nothing sophisticated to this product. It’s just sunscreen mixed together with a few moisturizers. It works like any other sunscreen out there but with a few extra add-ons to make women feel pampered. Antioxidants are supposed to maintain cell health and hydrating the skin does help it look less wrinkled but there is nothing complicated about DNA Superstructure UV Cream – SPF 15.

Pros

It works as well as any sunscreen out there. Antioxidants are a nice touch but I can get those from other products.

Cons

Many have reported being dissatisfied with how it feels once applied. Some complain that it feels too heavy and too oil. If used for several days, some have reported that it begins to cake and peel.

It’s also somewhat expensive. Anywhere from $20-30 is a lot to pay for a glorified tube of sunscreen.

Conclusion

The only reason this product was made was because many of Olays other products leave the skin super sensitive to sunlight. It just doesn’t seem very well thought through. This product was produced to fill a demand Olay (not the consumer) created, and they created it through the shortcomings of their other products. If you are using creams that leave your skin prone to sun burn, you’d be better off just buying normal sun-block. So spF you Olay!
